LUISA BAPTISTA
My art is an extension of my passion for visual movement, patterns and the arrangement between positive and negative spaces. Whether I'm working with vivid color combinations or high contrasts of black and white, my line work explores fluidity and motion. Creating linear tension and balance by diverging and synchronizing shapes and spaces becomes meditative for me. My art is not only inspired by, but celebrates my love for the beauty of natural lines, shapes, light, shadows and harmony found in the human body, water bodies and plant life.

Projects
2021 Floral Heart Project, C0-Facilitator, Yonkers, NY | In honor of those affected by COVID19, the Art 4 Wellness Team was invited to create and facilitate a community art project where the public could create hand-crafted flowers to be part of the Floral Heart Project.
2020 Art 4 Wellness, Co-Founder & Co-Host, Worldwide | 25 consecutive weekly online public gatherings that began with the mission to meet the need for community, creativity and art inspiration during the COVID19 quarantine. Weekly meets involved art themes, live art creations, live DJs, networking and connecting. Weekly artist features and interviews followed thereafter.
